This program is dedicated to two extraordinary women—my grandmothers, Cassie King and Lucille Mitchell. Their love, wisdom, and unwavering support shaped who I am today and continue to inspire the work we do here at the Cassie Lucille Foundation.
Cassie King:
My maternal grandmother, Cassie was a beacon of compassion, always putting others first and showing me the power of kindness. She taught me that even the smallest act of support could change someone’s life. Her strength and resilience in the face of life’s challenges inspired me to never give up on others, no matter how difficult the road may seem.
Through her, I learned the importance of listening and understanding. She was not only a mentor but also a protector, always ready to offer guidance with an open heart. She believed in me when I doubted myself, and her lessons in love and patience are the foundation of this program.
Lucille Mitchell:
My paternal grandmother, Lucille taught me the value of perseverance and the importance of community. Her determination to improve the lives of those around her was nothing short of remarkable. She instilled in me the belief that our impact in the world is defined by how we uplift others—whether through small acts of service, words of encouragement, or offering a helping hand.
Her deep faith in young people, and the ability to see their potential even when they couldn’t see it themselves, was a gift she shared with me and everyone she encountered. She made me realize that the future is shaped by the opportunities we provide for the next generation, and I am honored to carry that forward in this program.
